The district registrar, Carla Mitchell will now be accepting student registrations (elementary & middle school) during the summer. The following is her schedule.


Beginning in July, Registrations will be accepted on the following dates: (Tuesdays and Wednesdays)

July 7 Tuesday 9:00 to 1:00
July 8 Wednesday 9:00 to 1:00
July 14 Tuesday 9:00 to 1:00
July 15 Wednesday 9:00 to 1:00
July 21 Tuesday 9:00 to 1:00
July 22 Wednesday 9:00 to 1:00

The district registrar is located at the Sierra Vista Education Center at 1327 N. Norma, 760-499-1700. It is the very farthest north entrance facing Reeves Street (same street at Pony Espresso)

All Burroughs High School registrations will take place beginning August 10th with the BHS Counselors. Currently they may leave information for the BHS Registrar at 760-499-1717.

Registration forms can now be accessed on the internet at www.ssusd.org . Health physical and dental forms are available as well.

We are located in the Indian Wells Valley of California's beautiful high desert. The valley, averaging 2,500 feet in elevation, is surrounded by the magnificent Sierra Nevada, Coso, and Argus Mountain Ranges. The city of Los Angeles is a three-hour drive to the south, and Bakersfield, the Kern County seat, is two hours to the west. The highest and lowest points in the contiguous United States (Mount Whitney in the Sierra Nevadas and Badwater in Death Valley) are both within a comfortable driving distance. The air in the Indian Wells Valley is clean and clear with practically unlimited visibility.
