Rep Meeting
Today is the rep meeting! ASB reps check in with your 5th period teacher and then come to P2 at the beginning of fifth period for updates on upcoming events and all things ASB.

Blockbuster’s Voting
Don’t be fooled–Voting ends soon! The Blockbuster’s April Fools stories may be fake, but the competition is real. Make sure your favorite writers take the crown before voting closes this Friday. Check your school email for details.

Month of the Military Child
Did you know there are approximately 1.6 million military-connected students in the United States? These students are constantly moving and starting over in new places, but still put forth their best despite these challenges. Today we encourage everyone to be welcoming, you never know who might be adapting to something new.

Attention Seniors
Do you want a place in the graduation ceremony? Would you like to give a speech or perform a song? To sign up for an audition, please stop by P2 by April 10th. Speeches and performances are not required to be finalized until April 17th. Please note that endangered seniors are not eligible to audition.

Spirit Day
Did you know that this is the 50th anniversary of I.D.E.A, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act? THis Friday, wear one of the representative colors to show your support. For example, wear blue for Autism Awareness, yellow and blue for Down Syndrome Awareness, purple for Epilepsy Awareness, green for Mental Health Awareness, red for Physical Disabilities Awareness, or orange for ADHD Awareness. Please remember to follow the dress code and be school appropriate.

Prom Tickets
Prom is finally here! And to make it even better, its theme is Into the Blue! Juniors and Seniors can buy tickets starting the 13th for $25 with an ASB card and $30 without one. Prices go up on the 20th to $30 with ASB and $35 without. The 23rd is the last day to get them for $35 with ASB and $40 without. Library fines must be paid and you can have no more than 4 demerits to attend. You can purchase tickets at the finance office. Please remember to bring your ID. There are no ticket sales at the door.

Blood Drive
The Houchin Bloodmobile will be on campus on Wednesday April 29th. If you are at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds you can donate blood and help save a life. Ask your History, Economics, or Government teacher for the permission slips to sign up. If you have any questions, come to P2. Forms are due April 23rd to P2.

Tonight is Congressman Fong’s US Service Academies Mobile Office Hours at the Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave from 6-8PM. If you have any questions please see your counselor.

If you are considering joining the Armed Services after high school, the ASVAB is required to join the US Military (all branches) and is a great tool to explore your strengths, weaknesses, and careers. The ASVAB exam is on April 8th at BHS. See Mrs. Rolfness in the counseling center to sign-up. There is no cost.
