Adult School
What is the Sierra Sands Adult School Distance Learning model?
Students in the Independent Study program are at an advantage during this shift to distance learning because the way they access instruction does not change. Only the location from which they access their courses will be different. Students will continue to receive instruction through our Distance Learning program, Acellus.
What is the expectation for student learning?
Just as we welcome students onto our campuses and into our classrooms, we welcome them into the “virtual classrooms” through Acellus. Just as students are expected to enter through the physical door of a classroom, students and families should “enter” their classrooms through the Acellus Application and sign in. Adult School students should continue to engage in learning during school closures.
Technology/Internet Support
How do I access Acellus? Acellus can be accessed through any device that has internet connectivity. Although you can check on your progress through a cell phone, you may find it difficult to complete assignments on a phone.
